Contracts Manager

In line with recently acquired work packages, our esteemed client is now looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to expand their presence in the North-East and Scotland. 
 
Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to increase market presence and profitability.
• Oversee contracts, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with client specifications and SHEQ standards.
• Build and maintain client relationships, addressing concerns and identifying new opportunities.
• Provide monthly reports on workload, client needs, and growth opportunities.
• Plan and manage site works, ensuring ISO9001 compliance and adherence to client instructions.
• Monitor contract performance, including commercial, programming, and resource management.
• Ensure safe operations, minimising risks to workers and the public.
• Optimise resource management (personnel, plant, vehicles) for efficiency.
• Lead pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for your team.
• Conduct performance reviews for Contract Managers, Supervisors, and Foremen.
• Support the SHEQ department with training and compliance requirements.

Requirements/ Qualifications

• Proven contracts management experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of highways drainage and specifications (CS 551, CD 535, MCHW).
• Degree or equivalent in construction/project management.
• SMSTS and CSCS card (preferably managers).
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and business strategy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid UK driving license.
