Design Coordinator

A specialist contractor we’re working with is busy, with a solid run of secured work ahead, and they’re after a Design Coordinator to help keep everything on track.

You’ll be the person keeping design moving as the point of contact between the client, the in-house design team and the suppliers, making sure the right information gets to the right people at the right time and nothing gets stuck. If you’re the sort of person who likes being in the middle of it all, keeping everyone talking and pulling in the same direction, you’d do well here.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating design information between client, in-house design team and suppliers
• Being the central point of contact that keeps the process moving and everyone talking
• Managing the flow of drawings, submissions and technical queries end to end
• Working closely across teams to head off issues early and keep packages on programme
• Making sure design intent translates into buildable, compliant, deliverable detail

REQUIREMENTS:

• An architectural background, or previous design experience with MMC / offsite systems
• A good eye for technical detail and the ability to read and interrogate drawings
• Strong coordination and communication skills — comfortable being the hub between multiple parties
• The organisation to juggle competing priorities and keep information flowing
• A collaborative approach that fits a close-knit team
