Job Title: Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Drainage Project (NEC Contract)
Location: North Somerset (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £400 per day (Ltd company)

Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale drainage infrastructure project based in North Somerset. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NEC contract administration and be confident in managing commercial aspects of civil engineering projects.

This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, capable of working closely with both the site and commercial teams to ensure effective cost control and contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all commercial aspects of the drainage project in line with NEC contract requirements.
• Prepare, submit, and manage interim and final valuations, variations, and claims.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and client-side teams to manage budgets and control costs.
• Monitor project performance and provide accurate financial reporting.
• Provide commercial advice and support to the project team.
• Attend site meetings and contribute to project planning and risk assessments.
• Ensure timely submission of applications, invoices, and associated paperwork.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC contracts (essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.

Working Pattern:

• 4 days on-site 
• 1 day working from home

Rate:

• £400 per day (Ltd)
