We started Leggwork because we want to give back.
Alongside the day job, we religiously set aside time to support our local causes. We see our business as a platform to do
good and, as we develop, we want to support more organisations, more often, and more effectively.
Every year, we run at least 4 company volunteer days, to do something meaningful in the community, which everybody takes
part in. We also give every Leggworker another day, to support a cause personal to them.
Our founder, Justin Gettings, is a firm believer in helping in the community. We make donations every year and play an
active role in events, meetings, and helping local charities to try and reach as many people as possible.
BS14 Youth Club
Like the Backstreet Boys, we're back again, helping Will Payne and the gang at Young Bristol, but this time with our client Hill Group UK.
We got stuck in with some demo and carpentry works along with decorating duties. Luckily this time we had our carpenter turned recruiter Alex along with Site Manager Liam to ensure we made the most of the day. We gutted a dated reception/entrance area preparing it for a new meeting room and also gave the bike workshop a fresh look.
A big thanks to Liam and Hill Group UK for kindly supporting us and providing a skip to clear all the waste. As always, we had a lot of fun and we're looking forward to the next time!
Young Bristol
Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Will Payne down to our office. Before the dust had settled on our first comedy size cheque presentation we were writing a new one for Young Bristol!
It brings our total donated in 2021 by Leggwork to our local community to £3,351.73
We are extremely proud of what we have achieved in 2021 and that we are already having a positive impact on those around us in the relatively short time we have been in business.
In 2022 we want to be able to raise even more money for our local community so as the team grows we will be taking on challenges that take us outside of our comfort zone in order to hopefully raise further funds for those that need it most.
As well as this, we will of course continue to donate 3% of our profits.
Caring in Bristol
There's a rumour that director Justin only started Leggwork so he could get a comedy sized cheque for when we donate money to our community 👀
Here's Justin giving our new cheque it's maiden voyage to Luke Mitchell at Caring in Bristol.
Homelessness is something that CIB are tackling right here on our doorstep and we wanted to show them our appreciation by donating £1000. With the money donated, we are able to ensure that 40 people get a warm and safe place to stay this Christmas along with a roast dinner and all the trimmings.
It's the least we can do. And we're proud to do it!
