Company Overview:
Leggwork is working with a leading name in Land and Utility surveying, currently engaged on some of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work across civil engineering, highways and utilities frameworks, they are now looking to bring in a Utility Surveyor to support delivery across major schemes throughout Berkshire, and surrounding areas.
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking survey business, working on nationally significant infrastructure while continuing to develop your technical capability within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Utility Surveyor, you will support the delivery of utility surveys across a range of infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Utility and PAS128 surveys to a high technical standard
- Using specialist equipment including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Cat and Genny
- Collecting, reviewing and assisting with the compilation of survey data for reporting
- Working closely with engineers, clients and project teams on site
- Supporting junior team members where required
- Maintaining strong health and safety standards on site
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Formal surveying qualification such as QCF, ProQual Level 3 or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in Utility surveying with a working knowledge of PAS128
- Experience using GPR and electromagnetic location tools
- Good understanding of safety procedures and working practices within civil infrastructure
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Background in civil engineering, highways, construction or utilities sectors
- CSCS or equivalent site card
