An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager to join a high-performing team specialising in Topographical and Utility Surveys for major UK infrastructure projects. Based in Crawley, Sussex, this role supports operational delivery across multiple functions within a respected civil engineering consultancy.
We’re seeking a highly organised and adaptable professional with experience in a similar office-based role. Ideally, you’ll have worked in surveying, civil engineering, or construction environments and can confidently support both commercial and technical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure an efficient, well-organised workspace
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings and coordinate travel for staff
- Handle incoming correspondence and maintain internal communication
- Support financial tasks, including invoicing, expense tracking, and budget assistance
- Assist project teams with documentation, reporting, and deadline coordination
- Maintain records and ensure data accuracy across digital and physical systems
- Uphold compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations
- Act as a liaison between departments, contractors, and external partners
Requirements:
- Accreditation and Strong Knowledge of ISO9001
- Proven experience in office or business administration
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of financial tasks like invoicing and reporting
- Experience within infrastructure or consultancy environments (preferred)
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven setting
