About the Company

With a reputation for excellence and innovation, our client is seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to join their expanding commercial team in their brand-new Crawley office.
As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project finance operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent administrative and financial coordination skills, looking to grow within a leading surveying and civil engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Raise purchase orders and track procurement against budgets.
- Monitor and reconcile staff expenses, including:
- Fuel cards
- Accommodation
- Food and subsistence
- External training and certification courses
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure financial compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Support the Commercial and Project Management teams with cost tracking and forecasting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Financial Manager, Financial Controller or Finance Assistant.
- Excellent organisational and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software tools.
- Knowledge of the surveying, construction, or civil engineering sector (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
