Location: Wiltshire (With Travel Involved)
Salary: £39,500 – £47,500 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility considered)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Agricultural Plant Technician to join our team. This is a new and vital role, ideal for someone with a strong agricultural background and experience working with a wide range of machinery and equipment.
This position would suit someone who is mechanically minded, resourceful and comfortable working with both agricultural and plant equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing various types of machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair of a wide range of agricultural and plant machinery
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose faults and perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
- Support the wider team with equipment setup and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently
- Assist with ad-hoc mechanical or technical tasks as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong background in agriculture, ideally with hands-on experience in a farming or machinery-heavy environment
- Confident working with various types of agricultural and/or construction plant equipment
- Mechanically skilled with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the role
- Full UK driving licence required
