RATE OF PAY: £40,000 – £50,000 per year plus car allowance
JOB TYPE: Permanent

THE ROLE

We are recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a specialist groundworks and civil engineering contractor in Gloucestershire. The work is mainly groundworks and civils packages of up to £5m for main contractors and developers across the commercial, education, healthcare, leisure and industrial sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to:

• Prepare and submit client valuations
• Measure and value works
• Manage and administer contractual changes
• Support the procurement of materials and subcontractors
• Prepare financial reports and cost forecasts
• Help agree and settle final accounts
• Support the operations team to deliver projects successfully
• Give flexible support to the estimating and buying teams as project demands change

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A recently completed Degree, HNC or HND in construction, quantity surveying or commercial management
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues and clients
• To enjoy working as part of a team and be keen to keep training and developing
• Confidence using Microsoft Office
• A full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
