RATE OF PAY: £24.00 to £26.00 per hour, CIS, paid weekly (depending on experience)

THE ROLE

Leggwork is a recruitment business and is acting as an employment business for this vacancy. We are recruiting a Carpenter for a heritage construction contractor working on a restoration project in Broadway, Gloucestershire. The work will involve general carpentry as part of the restoration of an existing traditional property.

Working Hours:

• Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8–9 hours per day
• Overtime: Overtime may be available on some Saturdays

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will be expected to:

• Carry out first and second fix carpentry works
• Complete repairs and restoration to existing timber features
• Install doors, skirting, architraves, flooring and other timber elements
• Carry out general carpentry duties as required
• Work to drawings, specifications and site instructions
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

REQUIREMENTS To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter
• Previous experience working on heritage or restoration projects
• Experience working within traditional or existing buildings
• Ability to carry out high-quality first and second fix carpentry
• Right to work in the UK
• Own tools and PPE

Desirable:

• Experience with traditional carpentry techniques and heritage properties
