Leggwork are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and transport improvement schemes across the South West. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of projects across Somerset.
This is a site-based role where you will take responsibility for the commercial management of civil engineering works, working closely with operational teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and in line with contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and financial performance of civil engineering projects
- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial reporting to ensure profitability
- Support procurement processes and subcontractor management
- Administer NEC contracts including change control and commercial reporting
- Work closely with site teams and stakeholders to support successful project delivery
- Identify commercial efficiencies and contribute to overall project performance
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering or highways projects (structures, street works, drainage)
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management processes
- Experience supporting project cost control, reporting and contract administration
- Ability to build strong working relationships with operational teams and clients
- Background in self-delivery civil engineering environments is advantageous
