Overview:
Leggwork is supporting a leading specialist within Utility Mapping and Geophysical Surveying, delivering services across some of the UK’s most technically challenging infrastructure projects.
With a growing workload across highways, rail, energy and water frameworks, they are looking to appoint an experienced GPR Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality subsurface investigations throughout the Midlands and surrounding regions.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically focused surveying business, working with advanced Ground Penetrating Radar technology on nationally significant projects while benefiting from genuine progression and strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys across major infrastructure and civil engineering projects
- Operate GPR equipment alongside EM locating technology where required
- Support PAS128 utility mapping surveys and subsurface investigations
- Interpret GPR data to identify buried assets, voids, obstructions and underground anomalies
- Produce accurate survey outputs, reports and technical deliverables
- Identify potential design constraints, clashes and project risks
- Work independently on site while liaising with project teams and clients
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and survey quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience carrying out GPR surveys within construction, utilities or infrastructure environments
- Competent operating Ground Penetrating Radar equipment
- Experience working to PAS128 standards
- Strong understanding of buried services, subsurface risk and utility detection
- Ability to manage workload and deliver projects independently
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- QCF / ProQual Surveying Qualification
- Experience within highways, rail, utilities, energy or major infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of EM locating equipment and integrated utility mapping techniques

- £38,000 – £45,000 basic salary depending on experience

- Night Shifts & Weekend Days: 1.5x
- Weekend Nights: 2x
