THE ROLE
LEGGWORK are recruiting a Heritage Carpenter for a restoration project in Bath City Centre. The role involves carrying out high-quality carpentry works within a heritage environment, including first and second fix carpentry, joist and flooring works, as well as restoration and repair of sash windows.
Working Hours: 8-9 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime will become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be expected to:
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry works
- Complete joist repairs and flooring installations
- Restore, repair, and maintain sash windows
- Work on heritage restoration projects with attention to detail
- Work from drawings, specifications, and site instructions
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and finish
- Work safely alongside other trades on site
- Keep the working area clean and organised
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Previous heritage or restoration experience is highly advantageous
- Experience with first and second fix carpentry
- Experience with joists, flooring, and sash windows
- Own tools and PPE
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
