THE ROLE
LEGGWORK are recruiting two Painter & Decorators, or alternatively one Painter & Decorator and one Labourer, for a long-term construction project in the Bath area. The role involves carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works, with the labourer assisting with site preparation, material handling, and keeping the work areas clean and organised.
Working Hours: 8-9 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime will become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be expected to:
- Carry out painting and decorating to a high standard
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming
- Apply paints and finishes to internal and external surfaces
- Protect surrounding areas and maintain a tidy workspace
- Labourer to assist with material movement, preparation, and general site duties
- Work safely alongside other trades on site
- Follow all site health and safety procedures
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Previous painting and decorating experience (for Painter & Decorator role)
- Previous construction labouring experience (for Labourer role)
- Full PPE
- Own tools (Painter & Decorators)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
