Job Title: Irrigation Service Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

Overview:

Leggwork are proud to be partnering with a long-established specialist contractor with over 60 years of expertise across Water Infrastructure, Civil Engineering and Sports Turf Solutions.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Irrigation Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance and commissioning of irrigation systems across some of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses, sports facilities and landscaped environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on engineer seeking nationwide project exposure, long-term stability and the chance to work on high-profile schemes throughout the UK.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission and maintain irrigation systems and pumping stations
• Diagnose and repair faults across control systems and water management equipment
• Carry out servicing, testing and preventative maintenance works
• Operate mini excavators and small plant machinery when required
• Complete digital reports, site records and maintenance documentation
• Ensure all work is delivered safely, professionally and to a high standard
• Represent the business positively whilst working on client sites nationwide

 
Requirements:

• Previous experience working with irrigation systems and pump stations
• Competent operating mini excavators and small plant machinery
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using digital reporting systems and site documentation
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Trailer Licence desirable (training available if required)
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when projects require

 
What’s On Offer:

• Competitive salary of £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

• Additional overnight bonus payments:
  • £11.50 per night (up to 5 consecutive nights away)
