HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

START DATE: 1st Novemeber

LOCATION: Taunton 

RATE OF PAY: £17-18 per hour (+ EVENING SHIFTS 1.3 X UPLIFT)

JOB TYPE: Temporary

DURATION:  Initially 5 days work with opportunity for ongoing work

THE ROLE

Leggwork is a recruitment business and is acting as an employment business for this vacancy. We are recruiting a HGV Class 1 Driver in Taunton on evening shifts. 

• The immediate requirement is for one week, Sunday to Thursday, with the driver primarily transporting and remaining with a van at the Southampton site.
• Working from 6:00  in the evening until approximately 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning.
• The van can be collected from Wellington and driven to Southampton.
• The driver may take the van home after collection, provided it is in Southampton for the required work.
• There is a good chance there will be more ongoing work after completing 5 days of work. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to: 

• Distributing construction materials between the site and work area
• The driver will support a team working with a gully wagon, van and other vehicles on BT copper cable-pulling work.
• To be punctual 
• Good knowledge of vehicle checks
• Reliable, hard working and good attitude

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will need:

HGV Class 1 license
Ability to work safely around other contractors 
Right to work in the UK
2 recent work references
