HIGHWAYS SKILLED OPERATIVE

START DATE: Monday 5th October

RATE OF PAY: £22 per hour, CIS, paid weekly

DURATION: Minimum 6 months

THE ROLE

Leggwork is a recruitment business and is acting as an employment business for this vacancy. We are recruiting 2 Skilled Highways Operatives for a civil engineering project in Bristol. We are looking for experienced skilled operatives who have good highways experience and are confident carrying out drainage and kerbing works. The successful operatives must be comfortable working safely in close proximity to other contractors who will be undertaking sheet piling operations.
Working Hours:
● 10-hour shifts required
● Good opportunity for overtime throughout the project

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to:
● Carry out skilled highways and civil engineering works
● Undertake drainage works
● Carry out kerbing works
● Work safely in close proximity to contractors undertaking sheet piling operations
● Follow site health and safety procedures and instructions
● Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the project
REQUIREMENTS To be successful in this role, you will need:
● Proven experience as a skilled highways operative
● Good highways experience
● Proven drainage and kerbing skills
● Ability to work safely around other contractors and ongoing sheet piling operations
● Right to work in the UK

Desirable:
● CSCS
● National Highways card
● Full UK driving licence
● Plant tickets / plant experience
● Basic First Aid
● SSSTS
