Overview:
Leggwork is working with a well-established and growing construction and civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality projects across residential, commercial, education and infrastructure sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager / Senior Bid Writer to support work-winning activity across the business. This is a key role focused on leading bids from PQQ through to final submission, shaping high-quality proposals and driving successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end bid submissions from PQQ through to final tender
- Develop clear win strategies and structured response plans
- Produce, review and refine high-quality, client-focused written content
- Coordinate internal teams and external consultants to gather technical input
- Manage bid programmes, deadlines, and submission timelines
- Prepare presentation materials and support client interviews where required
- Maintain bid libraries, systems and documentation
- Review feedback and continuously improve bid processes and outputs
- Visit project sites to develop case studies and strengthen submissions
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering successful bids within construction or civil engineering
- Strong background in PQQs, tenders and proposal writing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and presentation tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Desirable:
- Degree or relevant qualification in construction, engineering or similar
- Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
