Overview
Leggwork are working with a well-established and growing construction and civil engineering contractor delivering residential, commercial, education and infrastructure projects across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective projects across Northern Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of projects, working closely with site and operational teams while progressing within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and appoint subcontractors across multiple project packages
- Manage subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account
- Prepare and submit valuations, variations and commercial reports
- Monitor project costs and support delivery within budget constraints
- Work closely with Contracts Managers and site teams to drive project performance
- Attend site visits to assess progress, quality and commercial position
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and commercial systems
- Support overall project delivery with a focus on value, efficiency and quality
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
- Minimum 4/5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Strong working knowledge of JCT, NEC or similar contract forms
- Proven experience managing subcontractor packages and commercial processes
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Full UK driving licence
