Leggwork are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC Option C/E experience and a background in highways or major infrastructure projects.
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hybrid working with regular visits to HQ (South West/South East)
Industry: Highways – NEC contract
Salary Package: £50,000 – £55,000 (DOE), Company Car/ Car Allowance & Perks
Company Overview:
Leggwork is working with a leading technology and infrastructure contractor, delivering communications and integrated systems across the UK’s strategic road network.
With a strong and growing pipeline of work on a Highways framework, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery across NEC Option C & E contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and collate substantiation for Applications for Payment (AFPs) in line with NEC Option C/E contracts
- Support the production of internal Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and external financial reporting
- Develop accurate cost forecasts for both internal and client facing reporting requirements
- Review and assess disallowed costs, providing detailed justification and supporting information where required
- Carry out cost analysis exercises to support commercial decision-making and project performance
- Work closely with Contracts Managers to support pricing and commercial input on target cost schemes
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and payments
- Ensure robust commercial control across live highways projects, maintaining compliance with contractual requirements
- Provide ongoing commercial support to project teams across multiple schemes
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Master degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with strong knowledge of NEC Option C & E contracts
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and working practices within civil infrastructure
- Full UK driving licence (car allowance)
