THE ROLE
LEGGWORK are recruiting a Site Manager for a heritage construction contractor working in Crewkerne, Somerset. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a heritage restoration project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime will become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be expected to:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the site
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, and material deliveries
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
- Monitor and enforce site health and safety procedures
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project team
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Valid CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- Previous experience as a Site Manager
- Experience managing heritage or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage site operations effectively
