THE ROLE
LEGGWORK are recruiting a Carpenter for a construction contractor working in Wellington, Somerset. The role involves carrying out a variety of first and second fix carpentry works, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while working closely with the site team.
Working Hours: 8-9 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime will become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be expected to:
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry works
- Install doors, skirting, architraves, flooring, and other timber components
- Read and work from drawings and site specifications
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Work safely alongside other trades on site
- Keep the working area clean and organised
- Adhere to all site health and safety procedures
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Own tools and PPE
- Ability to complete first and second fix carpentry
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
