Irrigation Project Assistant
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

About the Role:
Leggwork are delighted to be partnering with a specialist irrigation contractor delivering projects across the sports turf, golf, landscaping and wider commercial sectors.
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Irrigation Project Assistant to work closely with the Directors and Contracts Manager, supporting projects from initial planning and procurement through to installation, commissioning and final handover.
This is a varied role combining project coordination, commercial administration, client communication and operational support, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within project management and specialist irrigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support irrigation projects from ordering and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Assist with project programmes, budgets, resources and cost control.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and site activities.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and support effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate project records, drawings, reports and handover documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and site teams to keep projects moving.
- Support testing, commissioning, fault-finding and site delivery.
- Assist with valuations, variations, payments, quotations and final accounts.
- Attend project meetings and site visits, providing clear updates on progress, costs and risks.
- Promote strong H&S standards and ensure works comply with RAMS, company procedures and relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting irrigation projects or working within a construction/project environment
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Understanding of project programmes, budgets and cost control
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project management systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Technical understanding of irrigation systems, pumps and associated equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers or site teams
- Previous exposure to commercial project administration
