THE ROLE
LEGGWORK are recruiting a Handyperson for a long-term construction project in Bridgwater, Somerset, starting ASAP.

The successful candidate will be carrying out a mixture of general labouring and handyperson duties, with a particular focus on repointing works. This is a long-term opportunity for someone with good practical skills who is comfortable working across a range of tasks on site.

Working Hours: 8-9 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Overtime: Opportunities for overtime may become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be expected to:

• Carry out general handyperson and labouring duties
• Complete repointing works to a good standard
• Assist trades and site management as required
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance
• Move and handle materials safely
• Assist with deliveries and unloading
• Keep the site clean, safe and organised
• Support other trades across the project
• Follow all site health and safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Previous experience as a Handyperson or Skilled Labourer
• Experience with repointing works
• Good general construction knowledge
• Competent with basic tools and construction tasks
• Full PPE
• CSCS Card preferred
• Good work ethic and reliable approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of site health and safety
