THE ROLE
LEGGWORK are recruiting a Site Supervisor for a heritage construction contractor working across Somerset. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a heritage restoration project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. In this role you will bridge the gap between contracts manager and site operatives. We are looking for someone with a trades background and ability to jump on the tools to help with snagging and the efficient running of the project.
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime will become available as the project progresses, including Saturdays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be expected to:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day running of the site
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, and material deliveries
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
- Jump on the tools when needed for snagging and efficient running of the project
- Liaise with contracts manager, subcontractors, and the project team
- Maintain progress reports
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Valid CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor with trades background
- Experience in heritage or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage site operations effectively
