Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 (DOE) + Benefits
Leggwork is recruiting for a Pump Installation Engineer to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering industrial pumping systems, booster sets, irrigation systems and water engineering projects across prestigious golf courses, sports facilities and commercial sites throughout the UK.
This role is ideal for an experienced Pump Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Pipefitter, Installation Engineer or Water Engineer looking for a varied, hands-on position with excellent training and long-term career progression.
You’ll work as part of a specialist engineering team installing pump stations, booster sets, stainless steel pipework and HDPE/polyethylene pipework, with all accommodation and expenses covered when working away.
Key Responsibilities
- Install industrial pumping systems and booster sets
- Install stainless steel fabricated pipework
- Install HDPE / polyethylene pipework using electrofusion welding
- Install M-Press and press-fit pipework systems
- Assist with the construction of pump stations, pump houses and kiosks
- Support commissioning and installation activities
- Work alongside Electrical and Water Engineering teams
- Ensure high-quality installations and safe working practices
- Travel nationwide with regular overnight stays
Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Pump Installation Engineer, Pump Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Pipefitter, Water Engineer or Installation Engineer
- Experience installing pumps, booster sets or pipework systems
- Experience with stainless steel, HDPE, polyethylene, electrofusion or press-fit pipework is advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
