Overview
Leggwork is recruiting for a Senior Topographical Surveyor to join a leading surveying and engineering specialist delivering a major long-term infrastructure project in Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Topographical Surveyor, Land Surveyor or Engineering Surveyor looking to work on a large-scale civil engineering project with Leica TS16 Total Stations, StarNET and laser scanning technology.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-accuracy topographical surveys, survey control, laser scan processing and quality assurance, with genuine opportunities for progression within a growing surveying business.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-accuracy topographical and engineering surveys
- Operate Leica TS16 Total Stations
- Process and adjust survey control networks using StarNET
- Process and quality-check laser scanning data
- Produce accurate survey deliverables and quality assurance reports
- Work closely with engineers, project managers and site teams
- Maintain survey equipment and technical standards
- Support and mentor junior surveyors
Essential Requirements
- Experience delivering topographical surveys on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Leica TS16 Total Stations
- Experience with StarNET network adjustment and survey data processing
- Knowledge of laser scanning and survey control
- CSCS Card
- Eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
Desirable Experience
- Highways, rail, utilities or major infrastructure projects
- Mentoring junior surveyors
- QCF, ProQual, HND or equivalent surveying qualifications
