Overview
Leggwork is recruiting for an Approved Electrician to join a long-established specialist contractor delivering water infrastructure, pumping systems, electrical installations and civil engineering projects across Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Somerset and the wider South West.
This role is ideal for an Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Installation Engineer or Water Industry Electrician with experience working on pumps, motors, control panels, pumping stations and industrial electrical systems.
You’ll be joining a growing business with over 50 years of industry experience, offering long-term career stability, varied projects and ongoing training and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and fault-find on industrial electrical systems
- Install and upgrade pumps, motors, control panels and pumping systems
- Wire and commission electrical equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults
- Carry out maintenance on water infrastructure and pumping station assets
- Read and interpret electrical drawings
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards
- Travel across projects throughout the South West
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
- Experience with industrial electrical installations, pumps, motors, control panels or water infrastructure
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
