Overview:
Leggwork is recruiting for an Industrial Electrician to join a long-established specialist contractor delivering industrial electrical installations, pumping systems, water engineering and control panel projects across golf courses, sports facilities and commercial sites throughout the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Installation Engineer, Maintenance Electrician or Control Panel Electrician looking for a varied role involving installation, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance of pumps, motors, control panels and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission industrial electrical installations
- Install and maintain pumps, motors and pumping systems
- Carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Wire, commission and troubleshoot control panels
- Install and commission Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Work closely with Water Engineering and Pipefitting teams
- Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Travel nationwide with regular overnight stays
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience with industrial electrical installations, pumps, motors, control panels or VSDs
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required
Desirable Experience
- Three-phase motors and industrial controls
- Pump stations and water infrastructure
- Control panel wiring and commissioning
- VSD programming and diagnostics
